High Performance Program

In 1993 Saddlebrook Preparatory School established the First school-year program integrating golf and academics. With the strong Arnold Palmer tradition of excellence, there is no better environment in which young athletes can strive for the pinnacle of achievement in this sport. The Saddlebrook Prep System is a high performance golf program that gives students the opportunity to develop their total game including: technique, golf course management, competition, physical fitness, mental conditioning, and a fully accredited, college preparatory education.

Saddlebrook Preparatory school is fully accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), which was established in order to set high standards for quality elementary and secondary nonpublic education. Saddlebrok Prep is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), established to help schools improve. The school’s unique program combines high level academics for grades 3 through 12 in an environment that allows highly motivated student-athletes to excel in the classroom while aspiring to reach their goals in golf or tennis.

Saddlebrook Prep has over 100 students from countries all over the world providing them with aculturally rich learning environment. Students benefit from a highly educated and dedicated teaching staff and small student to teacher ratios. The school offers students the choice to enroll in our boarding program or to live with a parent or legal guardian. We take great pride in working to produce well-rounded and successful young adults.

After morning academics, the golf students typically hit the practice facility for instruction. By mid-afternoon they play on one of the resort’s Arnold Palmer signature courses with their coaches. On weekends our golf students may compete in tournaments or make use of the practice facility or play.

The golf academy features computerized video analysis using the V1 Pro system which is the Video Analysis System used by most golf instructors, courses and teaching facilities worldwide. The practice facility offers double-ended practice teeing grounds, ten target greens to practice all distances. The Scoring Zone Super Green is over one acre with practice bunker which enables training every type of short game shot.

Tournaments are emphasized with students competing both individually and as a team in local and national events and in intramural competition at Saddlebrook and other fine courses in the West Central Florida region.

Past students have included members of the Rolex All-American, junior Ryder Cup teams and NCAA All-American teams.
